Girl Power

Girl Power. I love it, I love it, I love it! I love it when boys underestimate girls, but then the girls prove the boys wrong by winning in a competition against them. It shows that girls are just the same as boys. This kind of victory actually happened to me recently. I was at lunch in school, when this guy ( Let's call him Bob) at my lunch table said, "I am faster than anyone else at this lunch table." That's when I replied, "I am pretty fast, too!" (I'm not trying to brag, I just really like to run) That's when Bob said, "Yeah right... I play tag with you at recess, and you're not very fast." That's when I got offended. I know Bob was just trying to push my buttons, but I have this quality to get really mad every time anyone insults me which is a bad quality, but hey, everyone has their faults!  So,  I wasn't about to let him get away with saying that. That's when I said to Bob, "Fine. I'll be it for tag this recess."(Getting ready to prove them wrong) That's when the girls at my lunch table said, "Watch out Bob, she's really fast. you don't know what you're getting yourself into!" At recess later that day, I proved to Bob that I was speedy. I started out walking out slow, but everyone knew I was getting ready to pounce! That's when I started to run at top speed and didn't stop. Up the stairs, down the slides, around the playground, everywhere. And, you should've seen the look on Bob's face. Every time I started to walk, he knew that at any second I could start running again at top speed. And when I did, he would scream like a girl and have a terrified look. To me, that was a really girl power moment, and every girl deserves to have that moment. Go girl power!!
