snow days!!

hey everyone!! i think it's safe to say that 2018 is off to a good start. for this whole week, i've only had two days of school in all!!!! that is just amazing to me. on monday, it was january 1st, and my school always has to give us off that day (because everyone stays up till midnight the night before to this the ball drop, and the clock reach midnight, etc) , then on tuesday and wednesday i had school, but, yesterday and today i had no school, because we had.. SNOW DAYS!!!! i absolutely love snow days. i love when you wake up early in the morning, thinking you have to go to school, but then you check the school website and see those beautiful red letters stating that there's no school, and you get to go back to sleep. it's really a magical experience. you might think i'm a teensy bit overreacting, but i'm really not. that's just how much i love snow days i guess! ;p today i didn't do thattttt much, but i did do quite a few things. other than relaxing at home, i got to get my eyebrows done with my sis and my nails done with my sis. livin lavish is our style i guess! that is just one of the reasons i love snow days. you get to do whatever you want that you didn't expect you'd be able to do that day. snow days to me represent the week tellin you "you did good this week, you deserve a day off" (or in this case, two days off:)))) ) also, because i had yesterday and today off (thursday and friday) i basically am getting a 4 day weekend!! and to make circumstances even better, next weekend i get a 3 day weekend because of martin luther king jr day!!! could this get any better?! well, thanks for listening to my rant (and me slightly bragging) about snow days. but hey, you gotta love 'em!

new year, an improved me!

hey everyone! i can't believe it's already 2018, time sure does fly when you're havin' fun!! i think, and i hope, that 2018 will be an amazing year, and i know it'll at least be better than 2017. yeah, 2017 didn't turn out to be the bestttt year for me, despite the post i wrote at the beginning of 2017 saying that it was gonna be the best year ever.. but anyways, lets not focus on 2017 anymore, i left that year in the past :p instead, lets talk about the new year of 2018!! i really do have a good feeling about 2018. i've already made and initiated tons of new year's resolutions that will help me to lead a healthy lifestyle. one of my resolutions is for this year is to eat healthier. i know that resolution is one of the most common resolutions you hear, but i really think that i am capable of following through with this goal. i've never been tooo much of a junk food lover, and given that i like healthy things like fruit and salads, this resolution might be one of my easy ones. my overall goal for this resolution is that at the end of the year, if i'm faced with the decision to get either chick-fil a or saladworks for dinner, i'll be able to choose saladworks. another one of my resolutions mostly just applies to summer, but i want to start waking up earlier in the summertime (by 'early' i mean at like 9 AM) and going on morning runs. I love going on runs in summer, and i really think that getting up in the morning, putting on my music, having some me time, and going on runs would be a really refreshing start to my day. i also want to start getting in the habit of taking showers in the morning instead of the night, because i started taking morning showers in my recent winter break, and i came to the realization that i like morning showers a lot more than i like night showers. i've always thought that i was a night person, and i could only take showers in the night, but when i tried morning showers, i really liked it, and overall i just loved the refreshing feeling it left me with for the day. another one of my resolutions (i warned you that there would be a lot) is to plan some 'me time' on schooldays. whether its 10 minutes or an hour, i want to have a set time just for myself to do whatever i want. i've realized that i'm constantly thinking and stressing about this or that, whether it's my grades or just some dumb drama, but the point is, i'm constantly doing something on school days. so, i realized i should have some time just to wind down and do something relaxing. that 'something' could be coloring in an adult coloring book, or writing my blog, just something away from my phone! my last resolution that i'll talk about in this extremely long post (even though i could go on for pages and pages) is my most important resolution. that resolution is just to be myself, and to be happy. i'm constantly overthinking things and worrying what people think of me, but i've realized that life is too short to care what people think, and so this year, i just want to be happy and do whatever makes me happy. they'll always be someone who disagrees with you, or tries to bring you down, so you just have to eliminate those toxic people from your life who don't bring you joy, and move on. i'm only going to be a kid once, so i wanna make the most of it. welp, those are my handful, no.. bucketful of resolutions for 2018!!! i hopefully will follow through with them!!
